Welcome to 1st Effingham

Based in our HQ in Effingham King George V playing fields we run high quality Scouting for all ages from 4 year old Squirrels, to Beavers, Cubs, Scouts right up to Explorers aged 18. Scouting offers adventure, fun and challenge, at 1st Effingham we are proud of the programmes and activities that we run for our young people.

Scouting is for all

Aged 4 to 5, you can join our Squirrels Drey, Scouting’s newest section.
Aged 6 to 8, you can join our Beaver Colony.
Aged 8 to 10 1/2, you can join our Cub Pack.
Aged 10 1/2 to 14, you can join our Scout Troop.
Aged 14 to 18 you can join our Explorer Unit.
Aged over 18? if so you can continue your scouting journey in two ways, we have Network for 18 to 25, and you can also become an Adult Volunteer
