Our Cub Pack

In our Cub Scouts section we aim to ensure that our boys and girls (8 – 10 ½ years) enjoy the most important activity – HAVING FUN!!!

Our Cub Pack is also extremely active and carry out a wide range of activities and experiences like rafting, climbing, going on outings/visits, experience weekend camps, plenty of outdoor activities including fire lighting and cooking on open fires, go on hikes including night hikes, learn how to be a team member and also start to learn how to lead their team.

We also take part in competitions against other cub packs in our District including a cooking competition, cross country and a scrap heap challenge,

Along the way they make new friends, gain badges and by the time they are 10 years old many of them have earned their Chief Scout Silver Award.

When they are 10 ½ years old they ‘swim up’ to Scouts where the fun continues and the activities get even more exciting and adventurous.

The Cub Scout Programme includes such activities as:

  • Camping
  • Cooking
  • First Aid
  • Model making
  • Playing games
  • Caring for the environment
  • Exploring
  • Helping others
  • Adventure Badge
HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
